About me:

I have spent a lifetime battling my weight and feeling ashamed for being the 'wrong' size. Having my daughter made me realise I couldn't bear the thought of her feeling inadequate or ashamed because of what she weighed or what dress size she wore, and that fired me up to try and make a change about how women and their bodies are perceived.

BLOG: I am a body positive blogger so if you would like to follow my work, you can find me over at chocolatecurvesmodel.wordpress.com

I am on a mission to try and encourage & inspire other women to embrace their wobbly bits, so that generations to come don't have to grow up miserable feeling they're only good enough if they're a certain size. Everywhere we look it is reinforced to us that we must be a narrow, unrealistic size in order to be worthy. I am a plus size model, and even in this world so often you only see curvy women that fit an ideal and it's not a true reflection of women out there.

About the campaign:

We want to see what clothes and jewellery will look like on US, not a real life mannequin. That is why I love this campaign by Trinkets Jewellery. They are taking a bold leap by using every day women to model their jewellery. I am so pleased that they are doing this, and I hope many more brands will follow. Hopefully one day, the models we see representing us in the media will be a true reflection of the diversity of women and fashion.
